A van conversion for a purpose we hope never to repeat! Back in 2020, Machaon Diagnostics @machaondx came to us needing to develop a fleet of mobile on site testing vans to allow their techs to analyze tests out in the field without the need and delay of bringing the samples back to the lab in Oakland CA.

We fitted out the vans with easy to clean ACM white paneling, TPO coin flooring and an aluminum cabinet with storage for their testing equipment and a stainless countertop in front of a bio security cabinet which is vented to the outside along with a rooftop AC unit to keep the inside temperature nice and cool.

To power their AC power-hungry equipment we installed a 3000W inverter generator inside a custom built cover on a hitch mount on the back of the van, offset to allow entry through the PS rear door.

Our Process:
➡ Email or Phone Call
A description of what you are looking for in your van build, even if it's still in the concept stage.

➡ Consultation:
We get to know you and the how, why, where, and what for of your new van journey and you in turn get to know us, more about our build process’, design, engineering, build methods and materials.

➡ Proposal Development:
We put together a detailed proposal of the van build of your dreams with layout, specs and costs.

➡ Contract & Build Scheduling:
The proposal becomes the Plan Sheet, a van drop off date is scheduled and we start ordering parts, materials and components as well as starting to fabricate parts of your build.

➡ Van Purchase Consultation:
If you don't have a van picked out we can help by putting you in touch with one of our network of dealers and vehicle sourcing agents to find you the right van for the right price for you.

Here's one of the first we did for Santa Cruz stand up paddleboard shop @covewater_paddle_surf 8 years ago #waybackwednesday! One of two vans we did for this great local biz. We can build a basic rack to hold lumber and ladders, or the ultimate roof deck for your van whatever you use it for.

@lightandmotionbike needed a re-do on their van to

@lightandmotionbike needed a re-do on their van to make it more efficient and usable for demoing their product and offering support at 24hr bike races and scuba diving events.

We custom built shelving to hold their different products and added a @sunbrella zip-down cover to keep the product out of sight as well as added locks to help secure their expensive payload. A battery system with a big inverter to charge batteries at 24hr races as well as a stainless countertop above a built in tool box for small spares and a place to repair lights and show off their different products.
